Celebrate Dia de los Muertos at this annual 5K run/walk and fun run taking place at Hernandez Elementary School. Participants are encouraged to dress in Day of the Dead running gear. Proceeds raised from the event will go toward San Marcos High School scholarships.

The city of Kyle will honor the nation’s veterans at the annual Veteran’s Day Parade and coinciding Market Days. The parade will start at Gregg-Clarke Park, travel along Center Street and end at Front Street. Kyle Market Days begins at 8 a.m. and features local vendors including food, drink, arts and crafts, and more.

The Commemorative Air Force Central Texas Wing will host a 1940s-themed night of dinner and dancing in recognition of Veteran’s Day. The San Marcos Hangar Dance will have live 1940s big band music, swing dancing and a vintage WWII aircraft. Tickets purchased at the door will not include dinner.
