River Appreciation Weekend

The city of Martindale and the River Advisory Board will host this third annual event to celebrate the sacredness of the San Marcos River. The Martindale River Cafe and historic Crook Store will host performances by local Aztec dance groups, live music, an art exhibit, a vendor market and a screening of "Yakona," a documentary about the history and significance of the San Marcos River.

Buda Plein Air Competition Exhibit

Murder Mystery Dinner and Silent Auction

Join the Hays County Crime Stoppers at the Wimberley Community Center for a night of community fun and a chance to win prizes in the silent auction. The event's proceeds will benefit Hays County Crime Stoppers and Hays County Campus Crime Stoppers with funding operations, rewards and Campus Crime Stoppers scholarships.Kyle Founders’ Parade

Frights & Sounds 2024: The Haunted Renaissance

Bring in the Halloween season with this two-day music festival. Taking place at various venues around The Square including Sean Patrick’s, The Porch and Axis, Frights & Sounds will showcase local bands and artists from across Texas.Sacred Springs Powwow

Hosted by the Indigenous Cultures Institute, the Sacred Springs Powwow is a celebration of Native American culture. The event will showcase dancers and drum groups, and have food, art and tents with educational programming.

Great Springs Trail Race

The Great Springs Project, a nonprofit working to protect local springs, wildlife and land, will put on this trail race at Purgatory Creek Natural Area. Runners can register for a 10K or a half marathon.
