After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the annual Pie in the Sky celebration returns to the city of Kyle as a one-day event Sept. 3 at Gregg-Clark Park, 1231 W. Center St., Kyle. Though usually held at Lake Kyle, the event has been relocated this year due to construction. Admission in to the event is free and begins at noon.





The pie events are as follows:

  • Pie toss at 1 p.m.

  • Pie baking contest at 2:30 p.m.

  • Pi recital contest at 3 p.m.

  • Pie eating contest at 5:30 p.m.


The live music lineup is as follows:


  • Broken Arrow at 12:30 p.m.

  • Jukebox Preachers featuring Art Tigerina at 1:30 p.m.

  • LC Rocks at 3 p.m.

  • Kyle Park at 4:30 p.m.

  • JR Gomez y Los Conjuntos Bandits at 6 p.m.


Tethered hot air balloon rides will be available from 4-8 p.m. for $15.

A variety of vendors will be on-site for food, drinks and more.

There is limited parking at the park, Central Texas AMVETS and Wallace Middle School that is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

There will be free parking and shuttles at St. Anthony's Church that will run continuously throughout the duration of the event.
