The city of Kyle amended its Stage 2 drought restrictions effective July 20 as a result of increased demand on the water system and is asking residents to conserve water.

Residents may still water through a hose, sprinkler system or irrigation according to the following schedule:

• residential odd-numbered addresses on Wednesdays from 8-10 a.m.;


• residential even-numbered addresses on Thursdays from 8-10 a.m.; and


• commercial and multifamily: Fridays from 8-10 a.m.

Residents may only wash their cars, trucks, trailers, boats and other vehicle or mobile equipment from 7-10 p.m. on their designated watering day.

During this time, residents may not install new landscaping; wash sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, streets or patios; and cannot host charity car washes.
