A flood advisory for areas in Central Texas has also been issued until 12:30 p.m. today. Areas under the flood advisory include San Marcos, Austin, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Lakeway, Bee Cave, West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, New Braunfels, San Antonio, Kyle, Dripping Springs and Wimberley.
The NWS said minor flooding will occur from the thunderstorms that began in the area around 9:30 a.m. Up to three inches of rain have already fallen.
So far in Hays County, two roads—one in southwest Hays County and one in northwest Hays County—have water reported on the road, but the roads remain open. Several low-water crossing closures have also been reported, and residents may visit www.atxfloods.com and www.haysinformed.com for more information.
