With all precincts reporting, Amanda Stark conceded the Kyle City Council District 1 runoff race to Bear Heiser.
"I would like to congratulate Bear Heiser for winning the runoff. I want to thank all of the community and my family and friends for supporting me during the election," Stark said. "I sincerely wish Bear the best of luck on continuing to advocate for our community by continuing to keep Kyle strong."
Heiser said he spent more than 100 hours door-knocking and asking the District 1 community what matters to them most.
"I am so thankful. I've never worked so hard for anything in my entire life and to get to this point and looking at the results and knowing that the people in this community recognize the hard work and wanted to turn out to vote for me in this runoff means so much to me, my family, my wife, my kids," Heiser said."This is a night that I won't ever forget. And it's the perfect way to kick off the next three years of representing the city in the best way that I possibly can."

With 100% of precincts reporting, unofficial results indicate that Bear Heiser won over Amanda Stark for the Kyle City Council runoff race for District 1.
With all absentee, early voting and election day votes tallied, Stark received 300 votes and Heiser garnered 760, or 28.30% and 71.70% respectively.

The city of Kyle’s runoff election Dec. 13 will decide who will sit on the dais representing District 1 for Kyle City Council.
With the election day vote counting underway, absentee and early-voting tallies place Bear Heiser ahead of Amanda Stark with 72.49% and 27.51% of the vote, respectively.
During the Nov. 8 general election, six candidates ran for the District 1 seat. Of the six candidates, Stark received 29.11% and Heiser received 20.66% of the vote.
