Keep in mind

Important 2025-26 school calendar dates include:

• First student holiday: Sept. 1
• Fall break: Nov. 24-28
• Winter break: Dec. 22-Jan. 2
• Spring break: March 16-20
• Last day of school: May 21

School campus hours are as follows:

• Bonham Prekindergarten and elementary school hours: 7:35 a.m.-3:15 p.m.
• Middle school hours: 8:35 a.m.-4:10 p.m.
• High school hours: 8:40 a.m.-4:20 p.m.

New phone policy

Students are no longer permitted to use cell phones or personal communication devices during the instructional day. The instructional day is defined as the time from the first bell to the last bell, which includes lunch and passing periods.

Prohibited devices include:

• Cell phones
• Smart watches
• Tablets
• Paging devices
• Alternative devices
• Headphones and earbuds

Communication devices must be powered off and stored away out of sight or in a teacher-provided storage area.

The new policy comes from a new state law, House Bill 1481, which requires Texas public schools to restrict student access to personal communication devices while on campus.
