Early votes show mixed approval for Hays CISD bond package

According to early voting results, four out of five of the propositions for Hays CISD’s $968.65 million bond package have received over 50% of voter approval, according to results from Caldwell, Hays and Travis counties.

Voting results for the propositions are as follows:
  • Proposition A: 60.02% for with 1,542 votes, 39.98% against with 1,027 votes
  • Proposition B: 56.82% for with 1,458 votes, 43.18% against with 1,108 votes
  • Proposition C: 47.78% for with 1,227 votes, 52.22% against with 1,341 votes
  • Proposition D: 50.1% for with 1,285 votes, 49.9% against with 1,280 votes
  • Proposition E: 60.51% for with 1,549 votes, 39.49% against with 1,011 votes
There are no runoff elections for the bond propositions, HCISD Chief Communications Officer Tim Savoy said.

The bond package includes five different propositions addressing district growth, a new high school, safety and upgrading facilities and technology.
  • Proposition A: projects for growth, safety and rehabilitation of facilities
  • Proposition B: High School No. 4
  • Proposition C: High School No. 4 stadium
  • Proposition D: four multipurpose activity centers, or MPACs, at each high school
  • Proposition E: technology upgrades such as new laptops and more

According to early voting results, three out of five of the propositions for Hays CISD’s $968.65 million bond package have received over 50% of voter approval, according to Hays and Travis Counties.


Voting results for the propositions are as follows:
  • Proposition A: 54.87% for with 659 votes, 45.13% against with 542 votes
  • Proposition B: 51.79% for with 621 votes, 48.21% against with 578 votes
  • Proposition C: 43% for with 516 votes, 57% against with 684 votes
  • Proposition D: 45.23% for with 541 votes, 54.77% against with 655 votes
  • Proposition E: 55.07% for with 657 votes, 44.93% against with 536 votes
