What you need to know
According to a district representative, the meals are being served by the Child Nutrition Department but regulated through the Texas Department of Agriculture's Summer Meals Program.
Breakfast and lunches will consist of a protein, grain and dairy product as well as a fruit or vegetable.
- Meals will be served Monday-Thursday on the provided dates and must be consumed on-site.
- Any child under age 18 can participate.
- Proof of age, income or residence is not required, and children do not have to be Hays CISD students.
