Superintendent Dr. Eric Wright introduced the three new hires following the board's approval.
Danielle Sandoval will become the new Pfluger Elementary School principal. Sandoval is an assistant principal at Johnson High School. She also has seven years of teaching experience and four years of assistant principal experience.
Pfluger Elementary Principal Elizabeth Lara will become principal at Jim Cullen Elementary School, set to open this fall.
Cassandra Behr will serve as director of transportation. Behr is assistant transportation director and has over 20 years of combined bus driving, bus coordinator and assistant director experience.
Rick Bough will become the new career and technical education director. Bough, who has over 15 years of experience as a teacher, instructional coach and coordinator, previously worked in the Hays ISD CTE department and has been the CTE director in Seguin ISD for the last four years.
Sandoval, Behr and Bough will begin their roles during the 2024-25 school year.
