The San Marcos CISD board of trustees called an election to be held May 4 to elect two at-large members to the board. Each position will serve a three-year term.

The specifics

The two at-large positions that will be up for election are occupied by Mari Salmi and board President Anne Halsey.

“We will hold a school board election on Saturday, May 4, 2024, for the position of two at-large trustees in conjunction with Hays County, Guadalupe County and Caldwell County,” Halsey said.

The board approved the election during their Jan. 16 board meeting. SMCISD is accepting applications for the positions until Feb. 16. More information on applying to serve on the board of trustees can be found on the district’s website.
