The Texas State University System announced April 21 that Kelly R. Damphousse has been officially confirmed the next president of Texas State University after the Board of Regents unanimously approved the appointment at a special meeting.
As previously reported by Community Impact Newspaper, Damphousse was selected as the lone finalist for the position March 31 after an extensive six-month search.
Damphousse will be the 10th president and assume the role July 1 once President Denise M. Trauth retires after 20 years of service.
