UPDATE: Hays and San Marcos CISDs announce delayed start Feb. 24 due to inclement weather

Update Feb. 24 8:15 a.m.

San Marcos CISD will implement a 2-hour delay in opening Feb. 24 due to inclement weather, according to a notice posted on the district website.

All bus routes and campus start times will. be pushed two hours, but school will be dismissed at the normal time.

All Hays CISD campuses will face a 3-hour delay in opening Feb. 24 due to inclement weather, according to an email sent from the district, a notice posted on the district website and the district's Facebook page.


The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory warning for the chance of freezing rain and sleet.

Bus routes will still be available in accordance with each school level's start time.

Half-day early childhood programs' morning and afternoon sessions throughout the district have been all been canceled as well as all before-school activities.

School will be dismissed at the normal time Feb. 24.

All San Marcos CISD campuses will start school as normal Feb. 24 according to a notice posted on the district website.
