The San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department is partnering with Texas State University on a project called Science in the Parks, which aims to improve diversity in childhood development studies.

Every Friday night and Saturday morning through the end of 2019, researchers will be hosting outreach at San Marcos Childrens Park, 205 S. CM Allen Parkway, San Marcos.

Nearly 90 children have participated since the program began in June. 512-393-8400.
