Bad weather delays local schools, Texas State University starts Wednesday morning

With the wintry mix still passing over Central Texas, all Hays CISD and San Marcos CISD schools and offices will start two hours later than regular times on Jan. 17.

Buses will also arrive two hours later than the original scheduled time to accommodate the delay.

In addition to the delays, all Hays CISD morning activities, pre-K, both morning and afternoon, classes and special education programs less than four hours long are canceled.

Schools will dismiss at normal times.

Texas State University will begin operations at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with classes beginning at 11 a.m. for both the San Marcos and Round Rock campuses.

Buses will begin operating at 10 a.m.
