"For us, we love going to Austin and San Antonio steakhouses and seafood [restaurants]," Tamra said. "Buda is such a great community and a great town; it was a no-brainer for this building, on Main Street. ... It was just a winning recipe for us."
Taste on Main differs from its predecessor as a primarily steak and seafood restaurant, whereas Hays City Store's menu caters to Texas comfort food, the Tindols said.
Along with ribeye and filet mignon, the menu at Taste on Main also features lobster tails, gnocchi, bolognese and sides, such as seasonal vegetables and fries.
The restaurant also serves cocktails, mocktails, wine and other drinks.
