As of Oct. 30, Travis Mitchell has collected the most political donations so far this election season, according to the latest round of campaign finance reports due to election officials Tuesday.
Every opposed candidate in the Nov. 7 election must file a contributions and expenditures report 8 days before the election. This latest round of reports, the second mandated disclosure since Oct. 10, covers all financials from July 1 to Oct. 30, according to the Texas Ethics Commission.
Here is how much donation money each candidate has earned and spent for the Kyle City Council election during that time frame:
Bill Sinor (Aug. 18-Oct. 30): $1,485 in contributions, $1,892.32 in expenditures
Nicole Romero-Piche (Aug. 8-Oct. 30): zero dollars in contributions, $25.64 in expenditures
Travis Mitchell (July 7-Oct. 30): $3,738.66 in contributions, $3,124.06 in expenditures
Place 2 candidates:
Tracy Scheel (Aug. 1-Oct. 30): zero dollars in contributions, zero dollars in expenditures
Place 4 candidates
Alex Villalobos (Aug. 8-Oct. 30: $703 in contributions, $3,400 in expenditures
Tim McHutchion (Aug. 9-Oct. 30): $2,560.96 in contributions, $415.02 in expenditures
Place 1 candidates:
Marco Pizana (Aug. 8-Oct. 30): $737 in contributions, $1538.16 in expenditures
Dex Ellison (Aug. 11-Oct. 30): zero dollars in contributions, $1,421.63 in expenditures
