Hays County reported one additional fatality June 9, which brings the county's total to 254 deaths.

There were also 27 lab-confirmed cases reported and 27 new recoveries, with 125 active cases. There have been 247 active cases within the past three weeks.

Current hospitalizations remain at 11 patients with one discharge and one person admitted, increasing the number of COVID-19 related hospitalizations to 901.

To date, there have been 18,938 lab-confirmed cases of the virus among Hays County residents, and another 2,061 probable cases have also been reported. A total of 173,381 tests for the coronavirus have been performed on residents.

County vaccine clinics are held weekdays at the Live Oak Community Clinic at 401 Broadway St., San Marcos, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. People visiting this clinic may receive either the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson vaccine.


On Thursdays and Fridays, the Pfizer vaccine is available at CommuniCare at 2810 Dacy Lane, Kyle, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
