Hays County adds 26 new cases of COVID-19, one death over the weekend

Between Aug.1-3, the Hays County Local Health Department reported 26 new cases of the coronavirus, bringing the total to 4,893.

The county also reported one additional death, a man from Kyle in his 70s. The death toll is now 29.


Currently, 23 people are hospitalized, and 69 additional recoveries have been reported. An estimated 1,980 have recovered from the virus. Of the 4,893 cases reported, 2,884 are considered active.
