Numbers provided by the Hays County Local Health Department showed 21 new cases of the coronavirus July 30, bringing the total to 4,297.

The county also reported three additional deaths related to the disease: a man from San Marcos in his 70s and a man and woman from Kyle, also in their 70s. The death toll in the county is now 28.

Of the 4,297 confirmed cases, 2,896 are considered active. Currently, 23 people are hospitalized, and 57 additional recoveries have been reported.
