Numbers provided by the Hays County Local Health Department showed 46 new cases of the coronavirus July 23, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 4,091.

Currently, 24 people are hospitalized, and 79 additional recoveries have been reported.

The county’s daily report also included 8,561 negative test results sent by the Texas Division of Emergency Management from tests conducted in Kyle and San Marcos between late June and early July. The positive results from that round of testing have been included in the county’s previous daily reports.

Of the 4,091 confirmed cases, 2,992 are considered active.
