The numbers of coronavirus cases and hospitalizations continue to climb in Hays County. The county reported 145 cases on 177 tests June 17, raising the number of confirmed cases to 1,238 on 6,419 tests since the pandemic began.

Of those, 903 are active cases and 330 have recovered. Current hospitalizations hit their highest mark at 17. The county typically averaged six patients in the hospital through April and May. There have been five deaths in the county.
