Here are the latest coronavirus updates from Hays County. (Community Impact staff)

Twelve new cases were reported in Hays County with 425 more tests, according to county numbers May 20.

The number of total confirmed cases is 250, with 3,133 tests having been administered in the county of approximately 230,000 residents. The numbers include 92 active cases and 155 patients who have recovered. Currently, six of 27 patients remain hospitalized, and there have been three deaths reported in the county.


Case totals are listed below by the patients' city of residence.

  • Kyle: 121

  • Bear Creek: 1

  • San Marcos: 70

  • Buda: 30

  • Dripping Springs: 6

  • Wimberley: 10

  • Austin: 7 (a small portion of Austin is in Hays County)

  • Driftwood: 2

  • Neiderwald: 2

  • Uhland: 1
