Here is the latest coronavirus update from Hays County. (Community Impact staff)

A San Marcos resident was the third recorded death from coronavirus.

Hays County reported 217 confirmed cases of coronavirus on May 13, with 2,404 tests administered in the county of approximately 230,000 residents. The numbers include 70 active cases and 144 patients who have recovered. Currently, 4 of 22 patients remain hospitalized and there have been three deaths reported in the county.
