Kyle Independence Day Fireworks Show


The Plum Creek Golf Course Clubhouse and the Hays CISD Performing Arts Center are both offering live music and a view of the fireworks, which will be launched from the golf course. (Pre-show) 6-9p.m. (Fireworks) 9:30 p.m. Various locations. www.cityofkyle.com

Martindale 4th of July children’s parade


Dozens of children lead the Martindale parade every 4th of July. The parade will go from Lockhart Street across Bowie to Johnson Street and back to Main Street. Booths will open across from the Library. 9 a.m. 411 Main St., Martindale. www.martindaletexas.org
