A nearly month-long mill and overlay project begins today on Robbie Lane in San Marcos
The city of San Marcos begins work on a mill and overlay project that will resurface Robbie Lane today. The project is aimed at extending the road's lifespan. It is expected to be complete by June 22. The road will not be closed, but traffic control flaggers will be in the area directing traffic. Vehicles should be parked off the street. If parked on the street they may be towed at the owner's expense.

The Buda Charter Review Commission holds its first meeting Thursday
The commission will be tasked with reviewing and recommending to City Council amendments to the city’s charter. The commission will discuss the charter review process and schedule and will select a committee chairperson and co-chairperson. The meeting takes place at 6 p.m. at Buda City Hall, 121 Main St.
Wednesday is the last day of school in San Marcos CISD, and graduation is Friday
May 31 is the last day of classes for students in San Marcos CISD, and graduation will take place Friday at 7 p.m. at Strahan Coliseum, 700 Aquarena Springs Drive, San Marcos.
Tuesday and Wednesday are early release days in Hays CISD high schools, and graduation is Wednesday
Students at Hays and Lehman high schools will be released early, and graduation for the high schools, as well as Live Oak Academy takes place throughout the day on Wednesday. The Live Oak Academy graduation takes place Wednesday at noon at Strahan Coliseum, 700 Aqaurena Springs Drive, San Marcos. The Lehman High School graduation takes place at 3 p.m. at Strahan Coliseum, and the Hays High School graduation takes place at 7:30 p.m. at Strahan Coliseum. Thursday is the last day of school for Hays CISD students.
