Gonzales received 3,932 votes or 35.52 percent of the total, and Scott received 3,387 votes, or 30.6 percent. Lisa Marie Coppoletta received 2,617 votes, or 23.64 percent of the total. Allison Cason has received 1,134 votes, or 10.24 percent of the total. Cason withdrew from the race earlier this year. "Here we go again," Scott said. "I would imagine it's going to be the same. Gonzales has reveiceved 2,700 votes, for 35.28 percent of the total, and Scott has received 2,325 total votes, or 30.38 percent of the total. Lisa Marie Coppoletta has received 1,890 total votes, or 24.70 percent of the total. Alison Cason, who withdrew from the race earlier this year, received 738 votes, or 9.54 percent. “It looks we'll be running a whole new campaign,” Scott said, in reference to a potential runoff. If no candidate receives at least 50 percent of the vote, the top two vote-getters will go to a runoff election. Coppoletta said she is proud of the campaign she has run so far. "I’m very confident in the kind of campaign that I ran," she said. "I feel blessed. I’m exhausted." Gonzales could not be reached for comment. The seat was formerly held by Jude Prather, but he decided not to seek re-election. All results are unofficial until canvassed.
