The Splash Station, a clothing store specializing in streetwear, opened in Kyle on March 21. Owner Juan Rojas Jr. started the business with his 13-year-old son, Kiko 44.

“He was the inspiration, he's really into fashion,” Rojas said. “He's always been into fashion, so I wanted to open up a business that me and him could collaborate on and work on together.”

What they offer

The Splash Station carries popular brands like Bape, but also prioritizes selling garments from local Texas designers like Forever FRGN from Killeen. Rojas said that collaboration with local brands helps give them exposure and a sense of exclusivity for buyers.

“I think that's [why] people are gravitating toward us because we have a lot of designers that you can't just get anywhere,” Rojas said.

Going forward

Through their father-son partnership, Rojas and Kiko 44 hope to launch their own brand, Members Only, by the end of this year.

A second location in South Austin, inside the Supreme Cuts Barbershop ATX, opened on July 1.
