From the creators of Jax Burgers Fries & Shakes, Jax Bros Sandwich Shop is located next to Galaxy Bicycles and serves sandwiches, salads, coffees and desserts. Customers can choose a hoagie roll, ciabatta or Texas toast for their sandwich. Jax Bros is owned by John Recio, who started Jax Burgers Fries & Shakes in 2010 in Spring, Texas. He said the restaurant’s name is a combination of his sons’ names, Jake and Max.Howdy Boba

Classic Tattoo

The downtown San Marcos tattoo shop has kept its doors open on LBJ Drive for more than two decades, with owner Morgan Egan still at the helm. Egan bought and took over the shop in 2005 while studying art at Texas State University.San Marcos High School Natatorium


Located at the San Marcos High School, the natatorium will break ground by mid-June following permit approval from the city. The 21,865-square-foot facility will feature a competition pool, a concourse level with spectator seating, boys and girls locker rooms, a laundry and storage facility, offices and restrooms.Closings

The restaurant, formerly located at 804 Chestnut St. in San Marcos, has permanently closed. A sign posted on the door indicates that a new establishment, One to Fi Café, will open in its place. The café is currently preparing for its debut, though an official opening date has not been announced.
