The Goddard School of Kyle, a private preschool for children aged six weeks to six years, opened on April 7. The school will host a community open house with tours, a scholarship giveaway, a bounce house and more on May 17.

What they offer

The Goddard School is a national franchise with more than 600 schools across 27 states. The Kyle location is owned by Shermeen and Akbar Bhaidani, who said they were drawn to The Goddard School's holistic approach to childhood education.

The school's Wonder of Learning curriculum focuses on personalized, hands-on, experiential learning through a child-led approach. Goddard teachers tailor learning experiences to each child’s unique strengths and interests.

Akbar Bhaidani said the school also has rigorous cleaning protocols and daily communication with parents. Shermeen Bhaidani is onsite daily, working with families, teachers and staff.

"Really, we're trying to create more of a family environment as we really see this as a partnership between us and the families," Akbar Bhaidani said. "We only have the children during certain hours of the day, and we really want to partner with our families to make sure that the children are learning and developing."
