A new pizza place is now open in San Marcos.

Stoner's Pizza Joint opened on North LBJ Drive on Oct. 11.

The local franchise is owned by Tobbie May and is located in what was previously DoubleDaves Pizzaworks, which closed in August.

The San Marcos location is one of fifteen new Stoner's Pizza Joint franchises opening soon in the U.S. Other Texas locations are planned for Killeen and San Antonio. Founded in 2013, the company has 50 locations across seven U.S. states. Stoner's Pizza Joint serves pizza, salads, smoked wings, "munchies" such as garlic knots, desserts such as half-baked cookies and more.
