Kyle hobby store LionHeart Hobby is hosting events in its new private event space throughout February.

LionHeart Hobby offers an assortment of scale models, board games, hobby tools, magazines and more.

The backstory

In the past, LionHeart Hobby has partnered with the Kyle Public Library to host hobby events. CEO Danielle Adams said they have wanted their own community gathering space since they opened three years ago.

“It's just something that the community has really, really wanted, and of course, I've wanted to give it to them,” Adams said.

The details

The new space is still a work in progress, but Adams has already outlined and shared an events calendar on the store's website. So far, planned events include modeling classes, board game tournaments, paint workshops, Dungeons & Dragons tournaments, and more.

Adams said the events will be tailored to beginners, and the store’s staff are ready to help those who are curious about “fun nerd stuff.”

Since the space is small, eventually some events will require a ticket. Adams anticipates there will be a waitlist for some events as well. For now, all LionHeart games and events are free to welcome the community to the new space’s soft launch.

LionHeart Hobby has been building a strong foundation since it opened, and Adams said the event space is a continuation of the small changes they have made to reach their long-term goals.

“We're in this kind of not necessarily ideal space, but we've absolutely maximized it to the most that we can, and I think it's just kind of fun,” Adams said.
