Wonder World Cave & Adventure Park, located at 1000 Prospect St., San Marcos, celebrated 120 years of business in January. The cave was first discovered in 1893, and 10 years later it opened to the public for tours for just 10 cents.

Owner Kristin Williams took over the business in 2017 from her father, Buddy Mostyn, who had been running the business since 1972. All in all, Wonder World has been passed down through three generations of family ownership. However, Williams' family did not take it over until 1958.

At Wonder World, patrons can travel 110 feet underground to experience the cave along the Balcones Fault line or take a train ride through the wildlife petting zoo. There is an array of animals to marvel at from parrots to chicken and hens to ostriches.

The park also features an antigravity room and an arcade, and also it also sells food. Wonder World also hosts special events throughout the year, such as breakfast and a train ride with Santa.
