The practice was founded by Dr. Alex Otto and her husband, Tim Otto, with the focus of pediatric care and dentistry.
The team at each office offers routine and emergency dentistry, restorative dentistry like crowns and fillings, and even infant dentistry for those as young as 1 year old.
In the years since opening Kids Tooth Team, the Otto's have also founded a nonprofit called Kids Tooth Teach Outreach and take their practice on the road to rural and underserved communities. In late 2021, St. David's Foundation donated a bus to the Otto's for their nonprofit work, and they travel to areas around Central Texas like Lockhart, Tim said, to offer around 80% of dentistry care that can be offered in a brick and mortar location.
He said that often times, residents in rural communities can't make it to a physical location so the bus is able to park at schools to offer dental care.
