Pinballz features a variety of classic arcade games as well as newer arcade and video games.
Darren said he and his wife Mikki opened the first location in order to bring people together to experience classic and modern arcade games.
“We really felt that Austin in general needed more family entertainment,” Darren said. “So our whole goal was to take you back to the classics as well as the new games, so families would come and actually play together.”
After opening the first location in Austin, Darren and Mikki decided they wanted to do something bigger with the idea of Pinballz.
“We decided that we wanted to give something bigger, you know, kind of what our original position was, which was something that has both indoor and outdoor components,” Darren said.
Pinballz features games such as Pac-Man, pinball machines and other classic arcade games such as Tron. Some of the newer games patrons can play include Dance Dance Revolution and a Halo arcade game based on the franchise video game. Patrons at Pinballz can win games and collect tickets to exchange for prizes.
Pinballz Kingdom in Buda also has a full bar and a scratch kitchen with dishes made to order. The location in Buda has an outside beer garden and can host music events as well as conferences.
Darren said one of the most important things about Pinballz Kingdom is that it is a place for families.
“I think the biggest thing is that we have a little bit of something for everyone. I think the key thing at Pinballz Kingdom is we have indoor and outdoor games attractions,” Darren said. “We have great food; we have great drinks. It’s a really great place to bring the family to.”
