Lowe's signs lease for 120,000-square-foot distribution center in Kyle

Lowe's, the Fortune 500 company and home improvement store, has signed a lease to occupy a significant portion of Kyle Crossing Business Park with a 120,000-square-foot distribution center.

Pet Paradise resort now open in Georgetown

Comprehensive pet care provider Pet Paradise opened its Georgetown location Sept. 30. Pet Paradise, located at 716 S. I-35, Georgetown, offers boarding, grooming and veterinary services. The 20,000-square-foot pet resort also includes amenities such as an indoor bone-shaped pool, outdoor shaded dog park, outdoor splash pads, webcams for pet viewing and more.

Maria’s Taco Xpress to close after 23 years


Maria Corbalan opened Maria’s Taco Xpress as a food trailer in 1997 and expanded to a brick-and-mortar restaruant in 2006. The restaurant, known for its distinctive statue on South Lamar Boulevard, will close by the end of the year after more than two decades in South Austin.

JuiceLand partnering with Little City coffee to open South Austin cafe

Austin-based JuiceLand is working with local coffee provider Little City to open a drive-thru cafe at 5030 W. Hwy. 290, Bldg. 11, in South Austin. JuiceLand founder Matt Shook said the cafe, which is being built in the former Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf at the corner of MoPac and W. Hwy. 290, is scheduled to open by the end of October.
