The city of San Marcos is reminding residents and commuters that the northbound McCarty Lane exit ramp on I-35 will be closed for the upcoming tax-free weekend.

The northbound exit ramp will be closed from noon on Aug. 9 through 8 p.m. on Aug. 10 to accommodate increased traffic on the highway due to shopping at San Marcos’ outlet malls.

Lighted signs on the interstate will be displayed to alert drivers of the exit closing.
