A new Goodwill retail store, donation drop-off and job help center will open in November at 901 Seton Parkway, Kyle.

The sales floor will be over 20,000 square feet and the location will also offer career advancement training programs and job placement services.

Goodwill has had a donation center in Kyle for years, and based on its traffic, the company decided to expand and open a larger center, said Valerie Swift, senior director of community engagement.

"This seemed to be an opportunity to move into the community and provide career advancement services out there, as well as opening the store at the same time," Swift said.

The new store will hire 25 employees, creating job opportunities in the local area as well, she said. There is no firm date of when construction will begin, but they have set a tentative open date for November, Swift said.

Swift said that besides having a good retail experience, Kyle shoppers will be able to help friends and neighbors when they spend money at the new Goodwill.

"Every time they shop and donate with us, they are helping to fund the programs and services we're providing at the job help center," Swift said.
