Big Oaks Kennel, a day care, boarding and grooming facility, celebrated 20 years on its 6-acre Buda property in November. Located just across from Buda City Hall at 500 Loop St., Buda, Big Oaks has three different areas where dogs can stay, including one specifically for dogs under 20 pounds. Owners Elaine and Hardy Purvis also run a membership-based, 3-acre dog park where all dogs are tested for sociability and must present vaccination records. 512-312-0235. www.bigoakskennel.com
