A groundbreaking for the future Kiddie Academy of Buda, a child care facility that will offer day care and educational programs, was held Nov. 5 at 2610 Main St., Buda. The Buda location will join more than 229 Kiddie Academies nationwide, according to a company representative, and is expected to open in the spring. 737-400-6700. www.kiddieacademy.com/academies/buda
