The city of Round Rock began work on a project to extend Old Settlers Boulevard from North Red Bud Lane to CR 110 in December. The connection will feature a four-lane divided section with a bridge portion.

About the project

The road extension will create a four-lane roadway with a center median and two bridges over McNutt Creek.

It also includes improvements for pedestrians and bikes, including a 10-foot shared use path and a six-foot sidewalk on both sides of the roadway, connecting surrounding neighborhoods to existing sidewalks and creating new direct paths to Old Settlers Park.

Other project features include a traffic signal and crosswalk at the intersection of Old Settlers Boulevard and CR 110.

What else?

The project has a $23.4 million budget, funded by Type B sales tax, certificate of obligation bonds and contributions from Williamson County’s Road Bond Program.

The city anticipates completion by early 2026.
