Officials are updating Round Rock's transportation master plan for completion in 2023, and the city of Round Rock has plans to widen Red Bud Lane—but there are also more transportation projects in the works for 2023.

RM 620 expansion

RM 620 will eventually include an overpass, frontage lanes and a roundabout. The city of Round Rock announced Dec. 15 that the Texas Department of Transportation opened the eastbound overpass on RM 620 to traffic. The project is a partnership among Round Rock, TxDOT and Williamson County to address traffic congestion.
