Some Round Rock ISD bus routes have been adjusted to account for a traffic pattern change at the Williamson County Great Oaks Drive Bridge at Brushy Creek project.

The adjustments went into effect Oct. 31 and are expected to last for three to four months, according to the district.

RRISD buses will reroute to Parmer Lane to access the Ranch Trails and Wilson Trace neighborhoods, as they will be unable to turn onto Brushy Creek Road/Hairy Man Road or onto Great Oaks Drive from Brushy Creek Road/Hairy Man Road. The adjustment is expected to cause both morning and afternoon delays, according to the district, in particular for students of Sommer Elementary School, Cedar Valley Middle School and Round Rock High School.

Affected families were reached through the district's parent portal and made aware of the change, according to the district, as well as through text alerts.
