Several businesses impacted by a March 21 tornado in Round Rock have since reopened. While some businesses opened soon after the tornado, four have reopened more recently.

1. Ambur Fire resumed slinging smash burgers and barbecue May 5 after suffering tornado damage in March. Owner Scott Amburgey said the trailer, out of which Ambur Fire is operated at 5430 US 79, Round Rock, was entirely replaced after a pole fell on it during the March 21 tornado. The food truck, which had its first home in the parking lot of Christian Brothers Auto, serves its specialty smash burgers, mushroom Swiss burgers and patty melts every day with its barbecue menu reserved for Thursdays and Saturdays. 512-800-2984. www.amburfire.com

2. After sustaining damage during the March 21 tornado, the Half Price Books store at 2601 S. I-35, Round Rock, reopened April 26. Half Price Books offers discounted used and new books as well as other media items. 512-244-0203. www.hpb.com

3. Twin Peaks reopened its Round Rock location June 27 after completion of tornado-related repairs, according to an announcement from the company. 4. Uptown Cheapskate, located at 2601 S. I-35, Ste. D-300, Round Rock, held a grand opening June 14, following repairs from a March 21 tornado. The business buys and sells gently used clothes, shoes, bags and accessories, offering cash and store credit on the spot.
