IKEA announced March 31 that its buy back program introduced in late 2021 would become permanent at 37 of its U.S. stores, effective April 1.
The Round Rock store, located at 1 Ikea Way, is on that list.
As part of the program, customers can take some gently used items back to the retailer for store credit. Most textiles, baby items, small kitchen appliances, mattresses and any hacked items will not qualify for the buy back program. A complete list of items that do not qualify for the program is available here.
The announcement came ahead of Earth Month, with the company stating that the decision was driven by a desire for increased sustainability.
