About the program
Round Rock's courtesy bulk trash program allows residents one free pickup per year. Previously, pickup occurred in the spring and serviced all residents in the same time period.
This year, residents can schedule their pickup by calling Republic Services at 512-255-4980. Items must be placed on the curb by 7 a.m. on the scheduled day.
The details
Accepted bulk trash items include:
- Non-Freon appliances
- Furniture
- Scrap metal
- Lumber 4-feet or shorter and with all metal removed
- Mattresses
- Freon appliances
- Automotive products
- Brush/tree limbs
- Chemicals
- Demolition/construction debris
- Paint
- Tires
- TV’s
Residents can place up to seven bags or small bulk items at the curb with regular weekly trash pickup. For those in a Municipal Utility District, the MUD is responsible for cleanup events scheduled in the area.
The city has other alternatives for items not eligible for bulk pickup, including its recycling facility and third-party companies, listed on its program site.
