The Round Rock Public Library now offers Homebound Delivery Services for individuals who live within the city limits.

Homebound residents, defined as having a condition or illness preventing them from leaving their home in the short- or long-term without assistance, can now have library items delivered for free.

Any library materials, including hotspots and curb painting kits as well as books, magazines and movies, can be delivered to a qualifying resident through these services. Residents may select their own titles, or have titles selected for them based on a preferences form, according to the city.

To set up the use of Homebound Delivery Service, call Sal Saldana at the Round Rock Public Library at 512-962-4988.

In June, the city of Round Rock also announced the library began offering hold lockers on the northern end of the building. The self-service hold allows residents to pick up their books contact-free 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Funding for the lockers and homebound services came from U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services, and Texas State Library and Archives Commission grants.
