1. Cork & Barrel’s New Year’s Eve

The Irish pub and restaurant will have a New Year’s Eve party with a "Prom Reboot" theme. Cork $ Barrel’s event will include a DJ, door prizes, a photo booth, a special cocktail menu and a midnight champagne toast.2. New Year’s Eve Buffet

Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Round Rock will have a New Year’s Eve buffet with holiday dishes, prior to the resort’s vibrant flow party with live music.3. Japanese New Year’s Festival

The Austin Japan Community, a nonprofit organization, is hosting a Japanese New Year’s Festival at Cat Hollow Park in Round Rock. The festival will have games, performances, traditional toys, calligraphy, a photo booth and other entertainment. Tickets can be purchased online.4. Saturday Overland Hang


An event bringing together overland vehicle enthusiasts will be held at Princess Craft RV. Guests are invited to bring their off-roading vehicles and swap stories, future plans and more. The event will include coffee and breakfast snacks.5. Rummage O Rama

The Texas Shoppers Market will host one of the area’s largest January rummage sale. To be held at the Platinum Event Center, vendors will have new and used clothing, collectibles, decor and other items.6. Texas Rangers Caravan

Players, coaches and staff of the Texas Rangers Major League Baseball team will visit Dell Diamond to chat with attendees and hand out autographs. The event will also feature a cocktail-style reception with hors d’oeuvres, water and tea.7. Parkour Competition

The Jungle Movement Academy is hosting a regional qualifier for the USA Parkour Cup. Participants will be challenged to a speed competition, with races for ages 5-6, 7-8, 9-11, 12-15 and 16 and up.

8. Family Winter Ball


Families of individuals with disabilities are invited to a winter wonderland Family Winter Ball in Round Rock. The event will be held at the Baca Center and feature dancing, refreshments and other entertainment. Each person attending must purchase a ticket, which are pre-sale only, as space is limited.9. Baca Center Senior Prom

Those ages 50 and older are invited to the Allen R. Baca Center for a prom night, giving guests a chance to connect and dance. The event will include a photo booth, cocktails, dinner and dessert. Tickets are limited and registration fee will increase starting Jan. 31.10. Production of “Ordinary Days”

The Penfold Theatre Company will hold a production “Ordinary Days,” a comedy musical that follows the lives of four young New Yorkers in search of happiness.11. Daddy Daughter Dance

The Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual Daddy Daughter Dance at the Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Round Rock. With a theme of “To the Moon and Back,” the event for dads and daughters will include a dance contest, live DJ, snacks and giveaways.
