A nonprofit will place 4,000 U.S. flags at Yonders Point in Old Settlers Park to mark the 22nd anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

What's happening?

In partnership with the city of Round Rock, the Texas Fallen Project will place the 4,000 flags beginning Sept. 8 to honor the 2,977 American lives lost in the attacks 22 years ago. The remaining 1,023 represent Texans lost in combat since, according to a release. The installation will be in place at 3103 Aten Loop, Round Rock, on Sept. 8-14.

What else?

Members of the Texas Fallen Project, a nonprofit supporting service members from all branches of the U.S. military, will provide hot dogs and water to visitors of the memorial Sept. 11 while supplies last.
