Round Rock residents will be able to get a firsthand look at their new library in the coming days.

A grand opening will be held for the brand-new Round Rock Public Library, located at 200 E. Liberty Ave., on Jan. 28 from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. The 66,000-square-foot library boasts three floors, new meeting and conference rooms, outdoor amenities, and expanded core services for children and teens, according to the city.

“This is truly a library for the community, intended to serve people from all walks of life,” Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan said. “This building, and the programming that will happen in it, will help shape the future of Round Rock.”

The grand opening celebration will feature come-and-go family-friendly activities and will be held rain or shine.
